Running winter tires through the summer wears them out quickly, so swapping back in the spring protects your investment.
A good rule of thumb is to put your winter tires on once daytime temperatures stay below 7°C, and switch back once they stay above it.
In Thunder Bay, that usually means booking in October for winter and in April or May for summer.
